From then on life was hard because Esperanza's family had to sell their home and then go to the U.S. to get jobs. The book was very sad because their life was so hard. It doesn't seem right. Y: The Last Man: Vol 4 by Brian K. Vaughan

In this fourth volume, the woman astronaut has a boy child. Ampersand, Yorick's helping monkey, has a disease and goes to a hospital while Yorick has a suicide intervention. At the end, Hero, Yorick's sister, comes to the hospital where astronaut had her baby and said, "where the (*I^#% is my brother?"

It is very hard to let go of this book because it is so interesting.

Y: The Last Man: Vol 3

Y: The Last Man: Vol 3 by Brian K. Vaughan

The Last Man 3 is about three astronauts. Two are men and one is a pregnant woman. They are supposed to touch down in American and a Russian agent is supposed to pick up their male astronaut. But the Israelis try to blow up the shuttle because they don't want the Russians to repopulate because they were in a war before the plague. The Israelis captured Yorick and they tied him up and put handcuffs on him, but Yorick is an escape artist and he escapes he destroys the missile before they shoot it at the shuttle. The shuttle doesn't quite land right and it blows up. The two male astronauts push the woman astronaut out saying "women and children first." The male astronauts die. Read the next in the series to find out what happens! I liked this one. There are a lot of surprises.

Y: The Last Man: Vol 2 by Brian K. Vaughan

In this book, the gang stops in Marrsville, Ohio. They find a bunch of women who hosted them and gave them hospitality and later Yorick discovers they are convicts. The Amazon Girls are girls who want to destroy Yorick even though the next leader is Yorick's sister. They attack at the house and all the convicts fight back and a couple get destroyed even the one that Yorick partly loved. The gang escape with their lives and went on to get to San Francisco. It was a good book with action and fighting.

Y: The Last Man: Vol 1 by Brian K. Vaughan

This is the first in the series where all the men have been "destroyed" by a mysterious source that the women and Yorick "The Last Man" Brown call "The Plague. Yorick has teamed up with a secret agent, 355, from a troop called The Culper Ring. They find a bio-engineer and try to clone Yorick, but the lab burns down and their journey starts to find the second lab. I thought this book was very exciting. It had a lot of action.
